Reserva Marina Galápagos
La Reserva Marina tiene una extensión de 133 mil kilómetros cuadrados, lo que la convierte en uno de las 10 más grandes del mundo, la que además, es uno de los mejores destinos del mundo para realizar buceo submarino.
El área marina protegida comprende 40 millas desde la línea base que la conforman las islas límites del archipiélago (extremo costero), hacia afuera, y también las aguas interiores.

Descripción del Área:
Vista desde el aire, esta Sierra Nevada es un rosario de perlas blanquísimas que refulge bajo el ardiente sol de los Andes.
En el ramal oriental de los Andes colombianos, se encuentra la Sierra Nevada de Güicán, El Cocuy y Chita, más de veinticinco picos cubiertos de nieves perpetuas, en dos cadenas montañosas de aproximadamente 25 kilómetros de longitud por 4 de ancho.
Buena parte de esta hermosa e imponente Sierra Nevada, que constituye la mayor masa glacial de Colombia, se puede recorrer a pie.
También hacen parte del Parque Nacional Natural (PNN) El Cocuy los páramos alrededor de la Sierra y una gran franja de Bosque Andino y Selva Basal que albergan gran diversidad de especies de fauna y flora.

Un libro para “armar” 10 parques de Venezuela
El Archipiélago de Los Roques, los Médanos de Coro y la Cueva del Guácharo son algunos de los parajes que protagonizan las páginas de una nueva publicación de la Fundación Polar.
Como una alternativa para fomentar la educación ambiental en los niños y jóvenes venezolanos, la Fundación Empresas Polar lanzó al mercado la publicación de “10 parques nacionales de Venezuela, un libro para armar”.
